This is a wonderful vintage Hooper bay Native American Yupik Alaskan woven bowl. Artist unknown. This small weave bowl is woven from wild rye beach grass (taperrnat). It is decorated with a complex geometric design of blue and red dyed seal gut. It is expertly woven, tightly coiled, symmetrical and well balanced. It is 1 7/8” high by 24 ½” in circumference. It is in excellent condition.
