Product Overview
The Firebird glows above a young hero in an enchanted garden, its sweeping feathers alive with golden light and vivid color. Kolbasyuk's miniature scenes draw on the magic of the Firebird tale, pairing the marvelous bird with curling waves, a little sailing ship, and an apple. Scarlet shawls, blue costume panels, and elaborate floral backs give the story a sumptuous setting.
Hand-painted on wood in Russia by Kolbasyuk, this five-piece matryoshka has a largest doll approximately 7.1 inches (18 cm) tall. Fine ornament and sparkling decorative accents surround the painted scenes, creating a richly detailed piece for anyone enchanted by Russian folklore.
