Product Overview
Ivan reaches toward the radiant Firebird in the tsar's orchard, beginning a quest filled with unexpected wonders. N. Tsyganova brings the tale to life in richly colored miniature scenes: the golden-maned horse, Elena the Fair, and the faithful Gray Wolf all find a place among the dolls. Red shawls and finely painted flowers lend warmth to the elaborate storytelling.
Hand-painted on wood in Russia by N. Tsyganova, this five-piece matryoshka has a largest doll approximately 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) tall. The ornate floral backs give the set a second kind of beauty, balancing its lively fairy-tale scenes with an elegant decorative rhythm.
