Product Overview
Alekhina Margarita from the village of Fedoskino painted this small round box. It features an episode from the fairy-tale "Ivan Tsarevich and the Firebird". Here we can see Ivan Tsarevich with princess Helena. In his hand he is holding the Firebird. He fulfills the last errand given him by the old tsar; he must find the beautiful Princess Elena, and bring her to the tsar.
The scene is painted in different shades of gold and red. Gold paint details the costume of Ivan Tsarevich.
The exterior of the box is covered with black paint, while the interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is unhinged and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the name of the artist. The unhinged box is approximately 4.25" x 4.25" x 1.25".
