More than 200 years ago, in a small village just north-west of Moscow called Fedoskino, a new form of folk art was born: miniature paintings done on papier mache objects. Fedoskino snuff boxes from the early 19th century have since become famous around the world. Today, the Fedoskino Miniature Painting Factory employs over 200 artists and exports its products to numerous countries. This art book will acquaint you with the history of this craft, and demonstrate all the originality of Fedoskino craftspeople.
