Kazanskaya Mother of God | Russian Icon

An antique icon of the Mother of God of Kazan made in the traditional manner using egg tempera on gesso over wood. Madein Russia circa end of the 19th century or early 20th century. This icon is 11.25" wide and 13.25" tall. This icon shows normal age crazing of the painting and is in very good condition with a minor chipping of the paint in the lower left corner where the painting and riza meet. The brass cover has elaborate style decoration and is in excellent condition.
