Product Overview
This beautiful box is a creation of Zoya Bobkova. It shows a pretty peasant girl wearing the wreath of wild flowers on her head. She is dressed in the traditional costume of a Russian peasant woman. The scene is painted in bright oils. The girl's costume, the sunflowers are detailed with brilliant gold paint. For additional decoration the exterior is studded with golden spangles. The interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The hinge is placed to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the title. Approx. 4.75"x3.5"x1.25".
