The coiled grass lidded basket with bold, multicolored dyed grass embroidery spanning multiple rows, providing a unique and modern interpretation on the traditional Yup'ik art of basket weaving. Features triangular and striped patterns in purple, green, blue, brown, and orange. Attributed to basket maker Kathy Mathis of Hooper Bay, Alaska. Approximately 5" tall x 3.5" circumference.
