The coiled beach rye grass lidded basket. The embroidery is in vibrant tones, providing a unique and modern interpretation on the traditional Yup'ik art of basket weaving. Attributed to basket maker Mary Simon of Hooper Bay, Alaska, between 1980 and 1982. Approximately 3.5" tall x 2.5" circumference.
