Product Overview
This is a charming lacquer miniature with winter village scene. This village scene has been painted by Ekaterina Aleshina from the village of Fedoskino. The palette is extremely radiant, using whites, greens, reds, browns, golds to form the scene. The detailing is executed with the utmost delicacy and done so using gold paint within the clothing. The interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The hinge is placed to the top of the scene, and the box rests on four round legs. The work is signed with the artist's name. Approx. 6"x4.5"x1.5".
