Product Overview
A young maiden beside a white swan introduces a little treasury of Russian fairy tales. The smaller figures reveal a prince reaching toward the Firebird, a girl with a little goat, a woodland hut and a frog. Bright red panels frame these miniature scenes, while sweeping pink flowers and green leaves fill the black shawls on the sides and backs.
Painted in Russia and signed by Anastasia Filimonova, this five-piece matryoshka set stands approximately 7 inches (18 cm) tall at its largest. The wide-eyed faces, warm colors and fine golden ornament give the collection a lively storybook character, with a different scene to discover on each figure.
