This beautiful piece was done by World Class scrimshaw artist David Adams. David Adams is a well known artist of scrimshaw with artworks displayed in private and public collections world wide. He is a painter of nature and fantasy; author, sculptor, jewelry designer and crystal carver. This scrimshaw was made on an Ancient Alaskan artifact, it was used several hundred years ago. The ivory is mounted to another nice slice of fossil walrus ivory. This piece features a snow owl sitting on a snow covered rock. Measures 2 inches wide and stands 4.25 inches tall including base. Base 2.5' x 1.5'.
