Product Overview
This gorgeous Russian lacquer miniature has been created by talented artist Smirnova Anna from Fedoskino village. It shows a quiet harbor, and several ships anchored not far from the shore. The mirror-like surface of the sea reflects the glow of sunset. The box's exterior is painted black. The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The box is made out of paper-mache and the marine scene is painted on the mother of pearl. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition, and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the village of Fedoskino. This box measures approximately 7.5" x 6" x 2".
