A large, beautifully carved and painted polar bear taking Santa on his deliveries. One of the most exceptional carvings we've seen from our Russian artists, extremely artistic and dimensional. This beautifully crafted large Santa, riding a polar bear with a bag full of gifts over his shoulder. Rich red base coat with an incredible amount of detail work. His coat and hat are beautifully detailed in raised filigree in a multitude of colors, white and gold flowers, leaves and white opalescent accents.
He is a very happy Santa with friendly blue eyes. Extremely well done in every aspect. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden wood. Unique, hand-crafted Santa is a one of a kind work of art. Artist Igor Shmakov.
