This box was painted by Fedoskino artist - Elena Matveeva. The beautiful panorama opens up in front of the viewer's eyes. In the foreground the artist has painted the Red Square, the St. Basil's Cathedral,and the white stoned cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin encompassed by the red-bricked wall. In the background we can see dark stormy sky over Moscow.
The box is constructed from paper-mache and large shell. Red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and rests on flat platform. The work is signed by the artist.
