A beautiful piece of fossilized walrus ivory with black and white scrimshaw. A part of walrus tusk with scrimshaw scenes by the regarded Alaskan artist Richard Freeman depicting Alaskan town Kodiak. Affixed to a wood base, walrus tusk measures 9.25" long, 3.5" wide. Signed by the artist.
Outstanding work would be a welcome addition to any scrimshaw collection.
