Talented artist Soloviov Oleg from the village of Palekh has painted this composition based on the interesting tale "The Humpbacked Little Pony".
The scene depicted here shows a recognizable moment of the story. In this composition we can see Ivan trying to catch Firebird, but getting only a feather of Firebird.
The entire surface of the box is filled with wondrous details. Gold paint is used to aid in the adding of the detail. The use of gold helps to enhance the already bold palette and bring out their true highlights!
