Girl with Puppies by Sverlova | Russian Lacquer Box

This brilliantly painted sentimental scene is a creation of the talented Fedoskino artist Galina Sverlova.The composition shows a little girl with puppies.The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The hinged box measures approximately 7" x 25.5" x 2.75" .
