Product Overview
A proud little rooster nestles in a girl's arms, bringing the cheerful spirit of the countryside to Nina Baskakova's matryoshka. White daisies bloom across green shawls, and warm yellow accents brighten the softly painted faces. Smaller birds and little floral details continue the pastoral mood through the set.
Made and hand-painted on wood in Russia by Nina Baskakova, the five nesting dolls have a largest figure approximately 6.7 inches (17 cm) tall. Painted braids and abundant flowers decorate the backs, giving the maidens a lovely finished presence. A sunny folk-art keepsake for someone who enjoys country life and traditional Russian painting.
