This is a beautiful piece that was done by World Class scrimshander David Adams. David Adams is a well known artist of scrimshaw with artworks displayed in private and public collections world wide. He is a painter of nature and fantasy; author, sculptor, jewelry designer and crystal carver. Brilliant composition by Adams on this one. This black and white scrimshaw features a resting cougar. This was done on fossil walrus ivory and mounted on a wooden base. Ivory piece measures 1.25 inches wide and stands 3.75 inches tall including base.
