This beautiful tall cormorant is carved out of walrus ivory. The cormorant is mounted on a whalebone base. The walrus ivory is flawless and the texture work is impressive. The eyes are baleen inlay.
Origin – Gambell, Alaska.
Culture – St. Lawrence Island Yupik.
