Product Overview
An Athabascan coiled willow root basket with thick coils resulting in a unique openwork design. Basket features a two-colored diamond motif, a matching flat lid with colored finial, and a polychrome handle. Attributed to Rita Young (1910-2004), Deg Hit'an (Deg Xit'an) of Anvik, Alaska; the artist is honored to have works within the collection of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. Basket measures approximately 6" in diameter x 6" tall with lid.
