Product Overview
This attractive lacquer miniature was created by Nina Bychkova of Kholui. This artist specializes in ornamental and floral compositions while using bright tones with realistic floral colors. In the center of this box is a beautiful orange color asiatic lily painted against black background. The flowers are painted in soft tempera paints and detailed with gold paints. This scene is framed with an intricate gold floral pattern. Small golden dots and flowers decorate the edges of the lid.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged at the left of the composition, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The artist wrote her name, Kholui, and the title -"Lily" Approx. 3.75"x3.5"x1.25".
