Product Overview
This is a wonderful vintage Hooper bay Native American Yupik Alaskan woven lidded basket. This small weave lidded, basket is woven from wild rye beach grass (taperrnat). It is decorated with a complex poinsettia design of blue and red dyed grass. It is expertly woven, tightly coiled, symmetrical and well balanced. It is 4 ½” high by 10 ½” in circumference. It is in excellent condition. Artist unknown.
