Native American Yupik Woven Basket Tununak by Barbara Albert - Hand Woven Basket

This is a wonderful vintage Native American Yupik Alaskan woven lidded basket.This large weave lidded basket is woven from wild rye beach grass (taperrnat). It is decorated with complex geometric designs of purple and orange dyed grass and red and green dyed grass. It is expertly woven, tightly coiled, symmetrical and well balanced. It is 14 ¼” high by 41” in circumference. It is in excellent condition. C.1970's.
