This is an antique silver gilt kovsh with multi-color shaded enamel in a floral motif. The kovsh was produced in the workshop of Maria Semenova in Moscow, Russia circa 1896-1904. The kovsh measures approximately 3.75" long, 2.25" wide and 1.3" high. The Semenov firm was founded in 1852 by Vasily Semenov. By 1873 the workshop employed 40 craftsmen. Maria Semenova took over the firm after the death of her father's death in 1896.
