Frog Princess by Krasnov | Palekh Lacquer Box

This cute lacquer miniature  is a creation of the outstanding Palekh artist Yevgenii Krasnov. This is a scene from Russian  fairy tale - "Frog Princess". Painting is very much detailed and the gold details are amazing! Yevgenii has his own unique style of painting and it is very recognizable.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The interior of the work is covered with red lacquer, the exterior is covered in black color. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene.  3.75"x2.5"x1.25". Signed by artist.
