The "Lightweight Swift" is an all carbon fiber and titanium version of his original Swift design, meant to feel amazingly light for its strength and size.
It has all the features you look for in a premium folding knife and nothing you don't, with a tight detent, super smooth action, and ball bearing assist pivot, the flipping action is fast and very pleasing. The handle ergonomics are spot on for hard, all-day use but one of the lightest available anywhere for the case and blade size.
Alexander Cheburkov lives and works in Pavlova, an ancient Russian town approximately 500 km east of Moscow known for over 200 years as a center of steel craftsmen: knife-makers, locksmiths, toolmakers and blacksmiths. Alexander creates knives at the highest level, each a unique heirloom quality tool and also a work of art!
Since 2001 he has been offering his works commercially; first in the Russian market, then after displaying and attending knife shows in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Austria his works have become highly touted in Europe in the last few years. Last year he attended the Blade show in Atlanta, where his work caused a buzz and he quickly sold out!
We travel to Russia and buy from him directly, but demand for his fine pieces is making it more difficult as he is always behind on orders for his custom knives.  He is known in the Russian knife community as the Russian "William Henry" for his superior designs, smooth actions, and quality of workmanship.  It is truly a pleasure to own and use a Cherburkov knife!
