Product Description

For days the crashing of the brush could be heard as Bear mother searched for her lost cub. Knowing he had the ability to transform, she was afraid she might not recognize him. Eagle came to her and told her of a brave new man who was to be trained to lead the neighboring village. He beckoned her to come at once to view the ongoing ceremonies. She follows Eagle to the village in hopes that this new brave man could help her find her son. As they approach, bear Mother is alerted to a familiar sound. They quicken their pace until before them stands the chief to be, who Bear Mother recognizes at once, to be her son.

This Bear Mother Totem is a traditional Native myth, and is hand carved by Native Masters from old growth yellow cedar grown deep in the rain forest of Southeast Alaska. Comes with the printed story. Stands 11" tall.
