This interesting work is a creation of the popular Fedoskino artist, Pavel Govorun. The artist depicted a scene from Lewis Carroll's (1832-1898) classic tale "Alice in Wonderland". Here we can see a recognizable moment of the story when Alice becomes a guest at a mad tea party. She drinks tea with the Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse, and listens to their stories. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Dark violet lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box and a platform while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene(of the box), and the box rests on a platform. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
