This impressive view of the Moscow Kremlin has been painted by talented Artist Mikhail Tugarinov, very well-known modern Fedoskino painter who specializes in the genre of architecture.
The beautiful panorama opens up in front of the viewer's eyes. In the foreground the artist has painted the Red Square, the St. Basil's Cathedral, and the white stoned cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin encompassed by the red-bricked wall. In the background we can see panorama of old down town and some of Stalin's skyscrapers.
Gold paint is used to detail the architecture, and to create a sparkle of the domes of the cathedrals.
The scene is framed with a gold filigree; as well as golden ornament wraps around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino. Approx. size 6"x5"x2".
