Set of two - Russian Santa carving with frosted trim and Snowmaiden (Santa's granddaughter).
Tradition holds that on Christmas Eve in Russia, a young beautiful girl along with her grandfather Ded Moroz-"Grandfather Frost", travel from home to home delivering presents to well-behaved children.
Rich blue base coat with an incredible amount of detail work. He is a very happy Santa with friendly blue eyes. Extremely well done in every aspect. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden wood. Signed by the artist.
